What payments are accepted?

You can easily see what payments we accept on the very bottom of each page of this site, in the footer, as indicated by their respective icons.

You can also find the payment options below the "add to cart" option on the product pages.

For reference, we offer Discover, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners Club. Wallets offered are Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay. We also offer installments by Shop Pay.

Do you offer discounts?

YES! Here's how to find our discounts:

- for first time customers, there is a 10% off discount, right on our store. Just click on the pop up or on the lower left side of the screen where it says "10% off" and you'll be given a code.

- for customers that came from social media - there is a 10% code from Instagram or Facebook you can claim for shopping through our store there

- there is a shopping cart with a + sign in the lower left side of the screen - this is an indicator counter for you that if you spend $50 or more on products in our store, you will receive free shipping

- emails are sent out periodically that have codes for sales and upcoming new products

Where do I find sizing for this product?

For products that indicate a size or have multiple sizes, there is:

1) an image in the gallery showing the available sizing AND/OR

2) sizing is mentioned in the description AND/OR

3) there is a clickable link between the available sizes and "add to cart" with an icon of a tape measure and the words "size chart".

Why do you need my phone number for orders?

We previously did not require customers to include a phone number with their order, but now require this.

We have been contacted numerous times by shipping companies because they could not reach customers or could not leave the order in a safe place. This resulted in multiple attempts to deliver the order.

If the shipping company has your phone number they can contact you directly and let you know of an issue with the order, thereby cutting down on the number of attempts at delivery.

We do not use your phone number for any other purpose.

Why is important to double check my shipping address?

We use a verification program, similar to what the postal service uses, to verify your address.

If our system catches a potential error, we will contact you and ask you to verify your details.

If there is a serious error with your address and we have contacted you, we cannot proceed with your order until you have verified your details. This is for your protection.

Please be sure you open all emails from dogstoreonline.com until all of your order is complete.

How do I place an order for a customized item?

You always have an option to include a note to us in your order, but it is really important to include that note when it comes to a personalized item.

The details of how many letters or numbers, or characters allowed will be in the description of your item.

Before you finish with your order, be sure to include the customization part of your order in the notes.

If you forget, you can contact us via the contact form, or send us an email at info@dogstoreonline.com. We will also contact you if those details are missing.

Again, please be sure to open all emails that come from dogstoreonline.com until you receive your order.

FAQs - Shipping Your Order

Are there any shipping restrictions?

We ship only to the United States.

We do not ship to post offices or to APO/FPO addresses.

If there is a restriction on an item, it will be in the description.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Though this company is located in Ohio, we do not ship from Ohio. We ship directly from the manufacturer. As such, shipping times vary.

Orders are processed Monday through Friday during the hours of 8am - 5pm EST, and handling can take 1-3 business days, depending on the product.

Shipping can take 3-10 days, depending on the carrier used.

These times will vary greatly during peak times, like big sales and holidays, and this FAQ will be updated, and a notification on shipping times will also be sent out in a newsletter.

Will I be notified about shipping my order?

Yes.

You will receive an email when your order is in transit, when it is out for delivery, and when it has been delivered. You will also receive an email if there is an issue the shipping company has with your order.

You will receive a tracking number in your email, and you can go to our tracking page to view the status of your order as well.

Why do you send so many shipping emails?

This is part of our customer service. We want you to be informed of where your order is every step of the way.

If I order multiple items, will they arrive together?

Not necessarily.

As mentioned in another question, we ship directly from the manufacturer.

There could be many reasons why your items ship separately:

- they are not manufactured at the same place

- even if they were at the same place, an item was not immediately available for some reason

- it was easier to package them separately

You may receive an email from us that your items have been delivered and you may not have received all of them. The shipping emails are sent automatically - and are created at the time you placed your order.

If you are missing an item, and have not checked the tracking page, please feel free to contact us to check on your item for you.

We request that you contact us for a return or refund.

Returns are free within 30 days of receipt of your order.

What do I do if I ordered the wrong size or color of an item?

This happens to everyone!

If you realize your error right after your order, please contact us via the contact form or via email at info@dogstoreonline.com and we will fix it for you.

If you realize your error once you receive your product, please contact us right away, and we'll discuss options to fix it.

If the error was our mistake, we will fix it at no cost to you.

Do you accept returns or refunds of personalized products?

Yes - the only item we cannot refund is gift cards.

How to Use Search Bar (Best Tip!)

The search bar in the header of every page is the most powerful thing on this site.

You can search for products, articles or blog posts in the search bar.

Simply type what you are looking for in the search bar and it will attempt to match that query. We've added lots of synonyms, but we're always adding more.

You can also use it as a filter.

Have a passion for pink? Just type in "pink" in the search bar and it will pull up all the items that have a pink variant as well as items that appear to be pink, such as something that is pink flowers. Again, we're always adding more.

A search query can also pull up a list of items on a page and this page has filters on the left side. You can use these filters to further narrow your search.

"Pairs Well With" on Product Page

Every single product on our site has at least one item that "pairs wells with" at least one other product on our site.

We hand selected these items to pair with the product you are currently viewing.

For example, a collar will pair well with a leash. A harness with pair well with a leash. A toy will pair well with another toy.

"You May Also Be Interested In" on Product Page

These items are products that are similar to the product you are viewing.

For example, you'll find more toys when viewing a toy, or find more leashes when viewing a leash.

Customer Accounts and Wish lists

It is not necessary for you to purchase an item in order for you to create an account on this site.

You can create an account by clicking on the "person" icon at the top right of the screen, between the heart and shopping cart icon. This will be up a login screen and a code will be sent to you so you can login. You can then change your settings and profile.

You can also create a wish list. From an product page, simply click on the "add to wish list" , which is below the "add to cart" button.

Navigation through Top Menu

We've changed our top menu navigation to be simpler. It now includes just the Home page, our products and our Contact Us page.

The products are separated into categories, and there is a drop down menu for each category.

These links can be found on every page of our website.

There are multiple menus in the footer.

- "Quick Links" will take you to more pages on our site, like reviews or our blog

- "Products" will take you to category pages for our products, similar to our top menu

- "Policies" will take you to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Opt Out of Personal Information page, Shipping Policy and Returns and Refund Policy.

- "Social Media" will take you to all of our social media pages
